Framed Bill Reid Copper embossed foil print-Haida Wolf "GHUUTS" in Richmond, British Columbia for sale

Bill Reid's embossed foil art cards are based on the silkscreen prints that Bill Reid completed in the 1970s and 1980s. This wolf art card comes framed with information on the artist and design on the back of the piece. Each framed card measures 13 1/2" tall by 11" wide.
The Wolf to the Haidas was a completely imaginary creature, existing on the mailand, but never seen on the Haida Gwaii. Nonetheless, he is an important figure in the crest hierarchy. Troublesome, volatile, ferociously playful in Haida mythology, he is usually represented in pofile, squatting with a long snout with flared nostrils, large and many teeth including canines, prominent ears, and a curled-over tail.
The Wolf had a special significance to Reid since it is a principal crest to his family.
Always kept protected and not exposed to light.
